Agassiz Music (which each summer also presents the Agassiz Chamber Music Festival) was named after Lake Agassiz, the ancient and vast lake which covered large parts of Manitoba, as well as some of Alberta, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Saskatchewan and Ontario. Our vision is provide international level chamber music concerts in the very centre of the country, featuring the most renowned artists and composers living in this rich geographical area, alongside other nationally and internationally celebrated artists. It is a great privilege and pleasure to be able to invite internationally acclaimed Manitoban artists to perform and share their artistry and passion with their colleagues, with our Manitoban composers, with our audience and with our CBC audience.
