A native of Saskatchewan, Donna Laube received a B.Mus. in Performance from Brandon University with Dr. Joan Miller. During her time at Brandon, Donna discovered the world of accompaniment and a great love grew both for the repertoire encompassing violin sonatas to Puccini arias and the intimate musical experiences that are shared amongst ensemble performers. Donna continued her studies at McGill University, earning a Masterís degree in Accompaniment with Dale Bartlett. Donna has worked with some of the professionís most esteemed performers through summer sessions in Austria (study of the German Lied) and in Edmonton (Opera Nuova). Donna has accompanied at national and international competitions and has appeared on CBC Radio Two. Currently Principal Pianist for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Ms. Laube also finds time to work with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra as orchestral pianist, the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir as choral pianist, and as a freelance accompanist in Winnipeg.
