Desautels Concert Hall is at the Fort Garry Campus of the University of Manitoba. Nestled next to the historic Taché Hall, 150 Dafoe Road, the Desautels Concert Hall entrance is just south of Dafoe on Maclean Crescent. The entrance is marked with the iconic Forever Bicycles sculpture by celebrated Chinese artist Ai Weiwei.

The Desautels Concert Hall is a state-of-the art, intimate performance venue in the heart of the University of Manitoba Fort Garry campus. With its stunning architecture, superior acoustics and optimal sightlines it has become a much sought-after venue for performing arts organizations. The hall opened on September 5, 2024.

The Desautels Concert Hall entrance is at ground level. The hall has power-assisted doors, designated wheelchair areas, and accessible washrooms to accommodate all our guests. There is an elevator for those attending the Champagne Reception following the concert. Accessible seating is limited, if you let us know you are coming, we can help ensure you have a great seat. Concert begins at 7:30 pm.

There are two levels of tickets:

General Admisison: $60 - concert only

Champagne Admisison: $125 - concert and reception

No printed tickets will be issued. When you arrive at the concert hall, an Agassiz volunteer will direct you to the guest table where your name will be checked on the concert guest list.

A limited number of student tickets will be available for sale 15 minutes prior the concert.

Yes, tickets can be purchased at the door beginning at 6:30 pm.

No. Seating is arranged on a rush basis in two seating sections. A section of seats will be reserved for those purchasing the Champagne Admission tickets (concert and reception). Ushers will guide those to seats in this section.

No, there is no dress code. Whether you prefer to dress formally or casually, you are welcome to dress in whatever style makes you feel comfortable and enjoy the concert!

We recommend arriving early to find parking and to get settled into your seat. There is ample free parking for evening events after 4:30 pm, just a short stroll from the venue. Please see the parking map.

The champagne reception takes place immediately following the concert on the upper level of the Hall. An elevator is available. Attendees will be directed to our reception table where your name will be checked on the guest list.

The concert will be approximately 2 hours. The first half will be 55 minutes; the second half 45 minutes. There will be a 20 minute intermission.

Yes! There will be a 20-minute intermission. Water and soft drinks will be available.

Enjoy the performance and feel free to applaud and cheer when moved to do so! We ask that you move around only between pieces to minimize disruptions. Please ensure your mobile devices are silenced and dimmed during the performance. Note that flash photography and recording are not permitted during the concert.
