Intoxication
CONCERT DETAILS
Date: Monday, June 5, 2023 | Time: 7:30 pm
Location: Laudamus Auditorium, Canadian Mennonite University (CMU)
500 Shaftesbury Blvd., Winnipeg
“Intoxication” explores the human experience of being overtaken by emotion. Whether it’s through the power of religious feeling, the entrancing effects of jazz, the power of humour in movies, or the seductive effects of liquor - something that composer Dvorak was known to enjoy, the composers of today’s concert take us on a journey inspired by each of these elements, finishing with Dvorak’s sunny masterpiece, the “Dumky” Piano Trio.
You are invited to join us at 7:00 pm for "Meet pianist John Novacek with host Andrea Ratuski".
